The leader of "Tell the truth!" civil campaign, poet Uladzimir Niaklajeu, stated that the campaign activists had collected 100 thousand signatures to rename one of Minsk streets in honor of Vasil Bykov. However, according to Uladzimir Niaklajeu, the authorities have stolen all these signatures, "want us to look windbags".

«The authorities are stealing people’s voices, want us to look windbags, who were not able to collect the signatures to name the streets of Minsk and Grodno as well as one of metro station, which are under construction, in honour of Vasil Bykov», BelaPAN quotes the leader of «Tell the truth!».

According to Uladzimir Niaklajeu, the campaign activists promised to collect at least 50 thousand signatures, but collected twice more. «To that no one has any doubt that people support our initiative», the poet stressed.

As Telegraf already reported, on May 18, during a search in «Tell the truth!» campaign’s office, law enforcement officers seized 10.000 signatures to rename streets in honor of Vasil Bykov.

On July 5, the campaign activists were seized the car, in the trunk of which there were 30 thousand signatures, and on July 6, unknown people stole 50 thousand signatures from the apartment of activists.
