The Ban to Visit Forests Is Lifted In Belarus

The ban to visit forests is lifted in all regions of the Republic. The class of fire danger has decreased, there is no big threat of fire spreading in forests of Belarus. It was reported on August 30 by the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Belarus, Ruzhena Novitskaya.

We’ll recall that in early August, due to the complication of fire situation in forests of the Republic, the commission for emergency situations under the Council of Ministers ordered regional executive committees to make decisions on the ban to visit forests and change time period of hunting in accordance with the clause 192 of the Rules of shooting preserve and hunting’s organization, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

According to Ruzhena Novitskaya, this measure had significant importance in fires prevention- the situation stayed under control. If fires appeared, they were eliminated fast enough, and in majority of the cases — by forestry workers. Emergency Ministry vehicles were used in about 60 cases out of 500.
