The FCS of the Russian Federation Wants to Leave Nine Customs Control Offices at Border with Belarus

Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia has developed a draft resolution of the government, in which it's proposed to maintain customs control over the import (and export) of goods into Russia' territory from the territory of the Customs Union's member-countries. According to the document, the FCS of the Russian Federation suggests to leave nine of such points at the border with Belarus.

According to the project, it’s proposed to maintain the customs control points for the import of goods, carried by road and rail transport, PRIME-TASS informs.

Among them: Western customs office to gather and analyze information on the monitoring of goods delivery of Smolensk customs, Novozybkov customs office of Bryansk customs, Surazh customs office of Bryansk customs, Klimovsk customs office of Bryansk customs, Sebezh customs office of Sebezh customs, Velikie Luki customs office of Sebezh customs (road transport control).

The document provides to leave such customs control points (rail transport) as: Novomoskovsky customs office of Smolensk customs, Fokinsky customs office of Bryansk customs, Velikie Luki customs office of Sebezh customs.

Checkpoints across the Russian-Kazakh border are defined as the places of customs control of goods imported to Russia from Kazakhstan.
