Belarus' Prime Minister, Sergei Sidorsky, reported that the government is not to issue Eurobonds for the time being, despite the obtained right to do this. According to the Prime Minister, Belarus is waiting for favorable conditions for the Eurobonds' issue, although "we were ready to issue Eurobonds even earlier".

«There have been made in fact all decisions of the government. Now we have to hold the so-called readings at the level of those who are to work with Belarusian bonds», BelTA quotes the head of Belarusian government.

«We are waiting for a favorable niche in order to provide our bonds abroad in most effective way. This work is completed. This is purely financial, commercial approach. I think in the near future we will close this topic», Sergei Sidorsky said.

At the present time, the prime minister noted, the situation in European markets to issue Belarus’ Eurobonds is not very auspicious.

As Telegraf previously reported, the government of Belarus was allowed to issue Eurobonds in 2010-2011 up to two billion dollars with circulation period of not less than five years and placing them outside the country. This decision was made by Alexander Lukashenko’s decree № 245 «On the issue of government bonds of the Republic of Belarus» dated May 13.
