The International Monetary Fund (IMF) lowered the forecast of growth of the gross domestic product of Belarus in 2010 to 2,4 % from 3,8 % which the fund expected earlier. The reason of lowering is aggravation of conditions of deliveries of oil from Russia. «Aggravation of conditions of oil import leads to additional economic difficulties for Belarus. Adaptation of economy to the new conditions of oil import will slow down the rates of growth in 2010», the IMF reported.

In the beginning of 2010 another power dispute between Belarus and Russia ended on signing the agreement according to which the Russian side promised to deliver 6,3 million tons of oil without duties to the Belarusian oil-refining plants. Russia determined 100 %-s’ duty on deliveries of the remained 15 million tons, Rosbalt informs.

In 2009 the GDP of Belarus constituted 0,2 % in comparison with 10 % growth in 2008. However the Belarusian authorities said earlier that in 2010 they expect restoration of high growth rates at 11-12 %.

As Telegraf has earlier informed, within two months in 2010 the GDP of the country grew at 3,5 % in comparison with January-February 2009.

In particular in January-February growth rate of production of the industrial output constituted 4,2 % while the annual forecast is 10-12 %. Profitability of marketed products, works and services in the industry for January constituted 3,8 % (the annual forecast is 10 %). Power consumption of the GDP lowered at 5,7 % while according to the annual forecast it’s to lower at 8-10 %.

Inflation within two months of this year constituted 1,3 % in comparison to 5,4 % in January-February in 2009 (the annual forecast is 8-10 %). In February the prices in Belarus grew at 0,5 %.

Real money incomes of the population of the country in January in comparison with the similar period of 2009 grew at 4,9 % while the annual forecast is 14-15 %.
