Assistant to the President of Russia, Sergei Prikhodko, commented on the criticism of Belarusian leader, Alexander Lukashenko, addressed to Russia on the events in Kyrgyzstan. According to the Kremlin's representative, Russia "is not going to change its position regarding the events in Kyrgyzstan because of the statements of the neighboring countries' leaders".

«The President of Russia in a recent interview with journalists in Brazil made it clear that Moscow is ready to work with new Kyrgyz government, if it can take control of the situation and ensure the process of authority succession, holding of fair elections and will contribute to the appearance of legitimate authority in the country», Vzglyad quotes Sergei Prikhodko.

President of Belarus on April 20, making an address to the Belarusian people and the parliament, stated that NATO or the European Union countries would have helped for sure to one of its member states, if there had occurred such an event as the Kyrgyz.

«And here is a coup d’etat, the legitimately elected president is overthrown. Hold somewhere in the mountains with small children, while putting pressure on him, saying: if you do not agree, we will take you out under the protection of Russian military», Alexander Lukashenko said.
