The Lightning Killed a Six-Year Old Boy in Grodno Region

In Grodno region, on the shores of Zelva reservoir, on Saturday, June 12, the lightning killed a six-year old boy. The tragedy happened at night, when a family, came to rest on the lake from Vaukavysk, hid from the storm in a tent under the tree, which was then struck by the lightning.

In the tent, there were parents along with two-year and six-year old sons. After a lightning stroke to the tree, the people were under, the charge got in the tent on the ground and killed a child, Komsomolskaya Pravda v Belorussii informs.

«Later, the family head told that he had the whole body numb, his wife did not understand at once what had happened», prosecutor’s assistant of Zelva district, Dmitry Zanemonsky, said. «The parents summoned lifeguards, emergency, tried to save their own child themselves — made him artificial ventilation».

The doctors, arrived on the scene, certified that the six-year boy died instantly. According to the doctors, neither parents nor doctors were able to save the child. District Prosecutor’s Office began to carry out checks on the child’s death.
