In the House of Representatives of Belarusian National Assembly confirmed the fact of closed meeting on the last day of the spring session, June 30. However, the MPs do not confirm nor deny the information on the ratification of the Customs Code of the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan at the meeting.

MPs refused to report whether the issue about the Customs Union was considered at closed meeting, saying only that the information was closed, BelaPAN informs.

In their turn, in both houses of the National Assembly they also stated they had no official information on the subject. The administration of the president and the government neither confirm nor refute the information on the ratification of the Customs Code of the CU.

Information throw in on the ratification of the CC came from Russia, a Source

However, a source in Belarusian authority circles stated that this «information throw in occurred from the Russian side».

«The event is not worth the noise, which is raised now», the source said. «No matter what but a final decision will be made by Alexander Lukashenko, basing on the interests of Belarus’ people, on July 4 to 5 in Astana (Kazakhstan) during the meetings of the Interstate Council of EurAsEC and the higher authority of the Customs Union at the level of the heads of states».

As Telegraf previously reported, earlier, a source in state institutions as well as sources, close to Russian government, reported that the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus on June 30 ratified the treaty on the Customs Code of the Customs Union.

«We were informed unofficially that everything was examined positively by the parliament today in the afternoon», a representative of the Russian side said.
