The population of Belarus on April 1 of this year amounted to 9.47 million and, comparing with the corresponding date of last year, declined by 13.4 thousand people. It's evident from to the data of National Statistics Committee of Belarus.
According to Belarusian National Statistics Committee, for the first three months of this year, there were born 26.1 thousand children in the country (748 less than in January-March of last year), 35.3 thousand people died (599 less), AFN reports.
In January-March period of this year, comparing with the corresponding period of last year, the number of registered marriages declined by 18.4%, the number of divorces — by 2.1%.
According to statistics, during January-March of 2010, 4.148 people have come to the republic and 1.608 have left, migration gain is equal to 2.540 people.
