The second batch of Azerbaijan oil is on its way to Belarus

Ukrtransnafta reported that on February 13, 2011 the company began  pumping Azerbaijan oil to Belarusian oil refinery in Mazyr. Thus, Ukrtransnafta started practical implementation of intergovernmental agreements with Belarus on regular deliveries of Caspian oil via Odessa-Brody pipeline in the direct mode.

The official statement of the company says that the second tanker
carrying 85,000 tons of Azeri Light oil arrived at the Ukrainian
port Yuzhni on February 11. The Seaoath tanker unloading was completed
on February 12. On February 13 the process of pumping oil to Belarus
started.

In addition, Ukrtransnafta also reported that the next
tanker with Azerbaijan oil for Belarus is expected in Ukraine on
February 14.

As Telegraf previously reported, the first tanker
with Azerbaijan oil has arrived in Ukraine on January 29. The tanker
Minerva Astra delivered to the Ukrainian port Yuzhni 81 thousand tons
of Azerbaijan oil for Belarus.

Deliveries of Azerbaijan oil to
Belarus is exercised under the agreements between the Belarusian Oil
Company, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Venezuela.
Under the contract, in 2011 at a swap scheme four million tons of oil
will be delivered in Belarus (Azerbaijan oil will replace Venezuelan).
