There Have Never Been Negotiations with Kerimov on Belaruskali, the Council of Ministers

Belarusian government has categorically denied the information that the country's authorities negotiated to sale Belaruskali company to Russian billionaire, Suleiman Kerimov. "There have never been any negotiations to sell a stake in Belaruskali with anybody", informed in the press service of Belarusian Council of Ministers.

At the same time, the press service representative noted that due to the fact that Suleiman Kerimov was one of Uralkali owners, he had expressed extreme interest to remain a co-founder of Belarusian Potash Company as one of the leaders in sales of potassium fertilizers in the world market, BelTA informs.

In the government of Belarus they explained that the spreading of information on the negotiations to sell Belaruskali to Suleiman Kerimov was a thirst of some Russian mass media for sensation.

«The information, spread by some Russian mass media, including by certain TV channels greedy for sensations, as it often happens, is absolutely untrue. The matter of Belaruskali shares salehas never been discussed with Suleiman Kerimov at any level. There have not been such negotiations», the representative of the Council of Ministers press service stressed.

As Telegraf previously reported, according to Russian newspaper Vedomosti, citing a source close to co-owner of Uralkali, one of the owners of Russian company, Suleiman Kerimov, met with Belarusian President, Alexander Lukashenko, and offered to buy Belaruskali controlling stake at of 7.5 billion dollars.
