Three Companies to Sell Belarusian Enterprises to Investors

Belarusian government has given a right to represent the country's interests on the investment issues abroad to the three companies. To seek investors for the sale of Belarusian enterprises will Uniter Investment Company, KPMG auditor's private unitary enterprise and the foreign Ernst & Young.

According to the decision of the Council of Ministers № 832 adopted on June 1, 2010 and basing on the presidential decree № 413 on August 6, 2009 «On providing individuals and legal entities the authority to represent the interests of the Republic of Belarus on the issues of attracting investment to the Republic of Belarus», these companies will represent the interests of Belarus till December 31, 2010, BelTA informs.

State Property Committee, Ministry of Industry and Belneftekhim will cooperate with the above mentioned companies from Belarusian side.

To the end of the year, Ernst & Young, KPMG and Uniter Investment Company are going to attract investors for five Belarusian joint stock companies: Bobruisk Machine-Building Plant, VolMET (Vaukavysk), Lida Foundry-Mechanical Plant, Barkhim (Baranovichi) and Rechitsa Textile, the contest of selling the shares is scheduled for August and September.
