Tragedy in "Pinskdrev" is a Serious Lesson for the Future, Lukashenko

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko expressed condolences to relatives of "Pinskdrev" employees, affected by the accident at the plant, on Wednesday, November 3. "The tragedy, taken the lives of close people, has touched all citizens of Belarus. It's not just your own personal grief, but our common problem and a serious lesson for the future," the Belarusian leader says.

As it became known to Telegraf, the president of Belarus assured all the relatives and close people of those, having affected by the accident, that they can always count on the support of the state.

«Do not be discouraged in this mournful hour. We will make every effort to prevent this in our country. I wish you strength and endurance. The fond memory of your family will remain in our hearts forever,» as said in the message of Alexander Lukashenko, the press service of the President.

According to Telegraf, on 1 November, the death toll from «Pinskdrev» Holding Company» explosion on October 25 has risen to 14 people. There are six more victims in health care units. Three of them are undergoing treatment in Brest regional hospital, three more — in the emergency hospital in Minsk.

In turn, members of the «Pinskdrev» Supervisory Board agreed to provide additional financial assistance to the families of the dead by paying Br30 million, to injured workers — Br20 million. Each family of the dead will receive Br100 million, the victims — Br50 million.
