Train Trips from Belarus to Russia to Be Cheaper from June 15

June 15, 2011, the fare in the international branded trains of the Belarusian Railways (BR) to Russia will be reduced. As explained in the BR, the rate of indexation on the reserved seat in the international branded trains will be lowered for this purpose. This will reduce the price of travel by 9-22% depending on the route, distance, route and type of carriages.

The fare will be reduced for the trains № 2 / 1 Minsk — Moscow, № 4 / 3 Minsk- Moscow, № 52/51 Minsk -St.Petersburg, № 40/39 Polatsk — Moscow, № 56/55 Homel — Mahiliou — Moscow, № 78/77 Hrodna — Moscow.

If the train ticket for compartment car number 2 / 1 Minsk-Moscow cost Br635.68 thousand on June 1, June 15, its price will decrease by 20% to Br513.01.

The fare on the train № 52/51 Minsk-St.Petersburg from Minsk to St Petersburg in compartment car will drop by 20% to Br557.88 on June 15, the class trains — by 9% to Br274 thousand.

The BR noted that flexible tariff regulation on the calendar period is still operating in passengers’ transporting in the direction of Russia and the Ukraine. The fare will be changed respectively.
