According to the National Statistics Committee of Belarus, production of vehicles and equipment in the country increased by 28.8% (up to Br1.3 trillion) in January — February 2011 compared with the same period last year. The production of trucks increased in 1.9 times for the period than in January-February 2010 (2.8 thousand units).
There were produced 329 buses during the reporting period (in 1.8 times more than the same period in 2010), 29.2 thousand bikes (4 times), 720 motorcycles, scooters and mopeds (1.9 times more), 27 trolleybuses (by 3.8% more), 692 trailers and semi-trailer (by 8.5% less), 120 main vans (by 19.5% less).
According to the National Statistics Committee, stocks of vehicles amounted to Br742.2 billion (103.9% of the monthly output) on March 1, 2011. Thus, the stocks of trucks totaled 1.2 thousand units (88%), buses — 132 units (80.2%), trailers and semitrailers — 348 units (100.6%), freight cars — 17 units (28.3 %).
