Two Belarusian Jet Fighters Collided in the Air

While performing a routine flight in reduced visibility, two Belarusian MiG-29 jet fighters of 927th air base collided in the air. "A touch of the aircrafts occurred when performing a maneuver of high complexity", reported in Defense Ministry of Belarus.

The incident occurred on April 21 at 20:15. As a result of the collision, one of the jet fighters sustained a damage, which did not allow to continue the flight. «The pilot managed to drive the aircraft to the area of 210th aviation landfill and, after made sure there were no settlements on the land, baled out», stated in Defense Ministry.

The pilot of the second jet fighter successfully landed at the base aerodrome by his professional actions. Now, the life of the pilots is out of danger. The commission of Ministry of Defense launched an investigation of the collision’s causes.
