A serious accident occurred in Gomel voblast near the village Budka of Rechitsa region. Audi car drove into the oncoming traffic and collided with a lorry Mercedes. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the car driver and his passenger died.
The Audi driver was a 20-year-old Vedrich villager of Rechitsa region. The young man received his driving license only four months ago, and the other days got a car. A 42-year-old woman from the village Vasilevichy died in the accident as well. The woman left two children, CTV reports.
«I was driving on my traffic lane, he was on his one. Everything was normal. And suddenly, at the last moment, his car was swung around just across to me. Nothing could be done,» the driver of the van Vitaly Kravchenko explained.
His words were confirmed by Igor Makushenko, the head of the State Traffic Inspection of the Department of Internal Affairs in Gomel voblast. «The car driver ignored all the information and road signs, drove into oncoming traffic, which was the violation of traffic rules, and collided with a truck,» a policeman commented.
