Ukraine Stands For the Deepening of Cooperation with Belarus

April 14, during a meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, Vladimir Semashko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Andriy Klyuyev, said that his country is interested in deepening cooperation with Belarus in mechanical engineering, energy, chemical industry, trade, transport and agriculture.

Andrei Klyuyev stated that there are a lot of opportunities not set in motion for industrial cooperation in Belarusian-Ukrainian relations, BelTA informs.

The sides discussed prospects of mutual leasing supplies of engineering products. In particular, the representatives of Belarus and Ukraine touched upon the possibility of use the production of Ukrainian Novokramatorsky metallurgical plant — which manufactures metallurgical equipment — in construction of metallurgical plant in Belarus.

Moreover, the sides discussed the prospects of deepening of cross-border cooperation. They also reached agreement on further steps to enhance bilateral cooperation.

April 15, Vladimir Semashko will take part in the 18th session of intergovernmental Belarusian-Ukrainian commission on trade and economic cooperation.
