UN Security Council Strongly Condemned Explosion in Minsk Subway

April 13, the UN Security Council expressed its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy for the victims in an explosion in Minsk subway and their families. "Any acts of terrorism are certain crimes regardless of organizers, the place and the motives of the crime," said in a statement.

Security Council members also expressed the need for a decisive struggle against terrorism in all its forms within the UN Charter and international law. «Any act of terrorism poses a serious threat to peace and security in the world,» said the UN Security Council, reports Xinhua.

As Telegraf previously reported, before UN chief Ban Ki-moon, having learned with sadness of the deadly blast in Minsk subway, expressed his condolences to the people of Belarus, as well as their families of the victims, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
