Under the Contract Russia Owes Nothing to Belarus, Gazprom

The official representative of Gazprom, Sergei Kupriyanov rejected the ultimatum of the President of Belarus, who had promised to stop the transit of Russian gas and oil to Europe if the company failed to pay the rest of arrears for pumping "blue fuel", amounting to 32 million dollars.

«Under the current contract, Gazprom owes nothing to Belarus» , the spokesman of Russian holding company stated and added that the company had already repaid Minsk all 228 million dollars of debt, RIA Novosti informs.

As Telegraf previously reported, on June 25, Alexander Lukashenko instructed the government to stop the transit of Russian gas and oil to Europe in two days, if Gazprom did not pay the outstanding debt for gas transit in late last year and first half of this year. Russian company does not acknowledge the debt existence.
