Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko instructed to carefully study the formation of prices for educational services to let everything operate reasonably in this area and to make charges only in strict compliance with contracts. This was stated by the Head of State during a report of Education Minister of Belarus Sergei Maskevich.

«Ironically, I have received information (I’m not saying that this is true, but still there’s no smoke without fire) that our Chancellors have started to plunder in this area,» said the Belarusian leader.

So, according to Alexander Lukashenko, additional fee for certain services is sometimes introduced without any sufficient reason, the press service of the Belarusian President, BelTA informs.

The president of Belarus has set a task to significantly increase the level of school education, as well as responsibility of students and their parents. «We need to significantly increase the level of school education and people’s responsibility up to the level of Soviet times when the students and their parents were strictly responsible for the education and upbringing of children at school. And this is the main task. We do not require anything else from the teachers,» Alexander Lukashenko said.

«Now we are waiting for the main attack on the main directions: education, upbringing and responsibility of students and parents. And all we need for this (regulatory, institutional) should be done,» head of state added.

The meeting was also attended by former education minister and current deputy head of the Presidential Administration Alexander Radkov.
