Venezuela is Ready to Buy Belarusian "supertraktors"

During his working visit to Belarus Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez along with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko examined the technology and oil and gas equipment, produced in Belarus, on October 17. After the exhibition, Mr. Chavez expressed his willingness to buy Belarusian "supertraktors".

The exhibition unfolded at the National Library of Belarus. As reported by the Presidential Administration of Belarus, Hugo Chavez liked a new energy-tractor «Belarus-3522» presented at the exposition. The President of Venezuela took the wheel and personally tested the novelty of the Belarusian machine-building in movement. «We are ready to buy this supertraktor and test it for large areas,» Chavez stated.

Then the president of Venezuela along with Alexander Lukashenko toured the National Library. As a commemorative gift the Venezuelan leader was presented by a bas-relief of Simon Bolivar, made by the Belarusian artist Nikolai Nesterevski. The artist bands of the Latin American cultural center named after Simon Bolivar gave a performance to the Heads of States.

Lukashenko Gave a Dinner in Honor of Chavez

The President of Belarus gave a dinner in honor of the distinguished guest from Venezuela. «Without this day the visit would not have been completed. Maybe today is even more important than yesterday in some respect,» Alexander Lukashenko said, addressing his Venezuelan counterpart.

In turn, Chavez stressed that the second day of his working visit to Belarus was extremely busy and productive.
