Head of the National Center of Radiation Control and Environmental Monitoring of the Ministry of Nature, Bogdana Kazeruk, believes that today volcanic cloud from volcanic eruption in Iceland is hardly penetrates into the territory of Belarus. "It is desirable that there is raining in Western Europe soon. It will stop the spread of clouds through the continent", the expert said.

According to Bogdana Kazeruk, in the coming days, in Belarus, «the rains are also expected, and it would weaken the negative impact of the situation, and, probably, the dust accumulates». «Now, we’re keeping track of the situation related to the volcanic eruption in Iceland at our stationary network of air quality monitoring, and making predictions about its impact on the weather conditions in Belarus», the representative of Ministry of Nature reported , BelTA informs.

However, the expert believes that if in Western Europe north-west wind continues and weather is without precipitations, then «in the next few days the transfer of a dusty cloud is quite possible not only to the territory of Belarus but to Russian regions».

In their turn, according to the specialists, this week, dust level increased only in two districts of Minsk and some Belarusian cities. This, according to experts, does not connected with the passage of the dust cloud formed by the volcanic eruption in Iceland, and in general, air’s dust level in Belarus remains typical for April now.
