Belarus has become closer to the main goal — a high level and quality of people's life. This was stated by President Alexander Lukashenko in his opening speech at IV All-Belarus People's Assembly on December 6. "This representative forum (Belarus People's Assembly) has a significant credibility and acclaim in Belarus. It's enough to recall its chronology," the Belarusian leader said.
Alexander Lukashenko recalled that the first meeting took place at a critical period of life. «Having consulted the people, it was decided to follow the evolutionary path of creation at that time, but not the shock therapy, robbing the people and enriching a handful of individuals,» President of Belarus said.
The Second Congress, according to the head of state, was prominent in the history by its adoption of modern Belarusian model of development and putting forward the idea, managed to consolidate society, which is building a strong and prosperous country.
«The third meeting secured the current highly dynamic socio-economic development and put forward a new strategic goal — the creation of state for the people, thus making the whole policy of the authorities face the man,» Alexander Lukashenko continued.
«In short, the decisions of previous Congresses have allowed Belarus to present itself as an independent state, to significantly increase the economic potential, as well as to provide a progressive social development. We’ve passed a long way ahead in a short historical period. We’ve taken the country away from the abyss, threatening Belarus in the early 90’s, and have approached the main goal — a high level and quality of life of our people,» the Belarusian leader said.
According to Alexander Lukashenko, the current Congress is the final chord of the all-people’s review of the country’s situation, as well as the determination of its development prospects.
The President noted that the five years, past after the third All-Belarus People’s Assembly, were a strength testing time for the Belarusian Social-economic and political development models.
«This period faced everything: economic sanctions and political demarche against our country, attempts to destabilize the situation using the methods of «color revolutions» and provocations, «trade wars» and the global financial crisis. But we didn’t let involve ourselves in any political adventures, and have worked hard in the name of goodness, happiness and prosperity of our Motherland,» Alexander Lukashenko said.
All-Belarus Assembly — the Highest Manifestation of Democracy, Lukashenko
According to the Head of State, All-Belarusian Assembly is the supreme manifestation of democracy, which embodies the historical experience and current trends in democracy.
«This is the fourth time in the history of the young Belarusian sovereign state when such a representative forum has taken place,» the president said. — The origins of this form of democracy come from the time immemorial — from the popular Assembly, used to take place in the Slavic lands and our ancient Polatsk and Turau as well. Issues of paramount importance and significance used to be discussed at such gatherings from the earliest times. We have revived this good tradition and we’ll develop it in the future.»
According to Alexander Lukashenko, the Belarusian People’s Assembly not only gives basis for an open, honest and motivated talk between the people and the power, but also gives an opportunity to decide on the development strategy of the state. «Not secretly, but openly, not in the offices, and with broad participation of people,» the head of the country stressed.
Belarus Should Become Truly Strong, Lukashenko
«The program, we offer to this meeting is an unprecedented economic growth and prosperity of the people. There’s no other way. Only the strong are respected and considered with in the modern world. Belarus should become truly strong!», Alexander Lukashenko said.
Addressing the participants of IV All-Belarusian People’s Assembly, the Belarusian leader said: «You are the plenipotentiary representatives of the people, elected from all regions of Belarus, all social groups and most labor groups, civil society and government branches. You know everything — from macroeconomics to the problems of the individual. You’ve brought worries and instructions of people, who have chosen you, to the Congress, including the proposals for the Programme of socio-economic development of Belarus for the next five years, submitted for public discussion.»
Proceeding from this, Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that fully adjusted, weighted, real-life decisions to properly define the future strategy of the country would be taken at the meeting. But achievement of the intended goals, according to the head of state, will depend on personal determination of each working group, each individual of Belarus to follow this program.
«Our future is created not in the squares, and at industrial and agricultural enterprises, research laboratories and educational institutions. We are all going to work on the tasks, defined as a target at our forum. We are all responsible for their implementation,» Belarusian leader underlined.
«The main thing is to be honest with people, to keep the word firmly. Once promised must be done!», Alexander Lukashenko said.
