President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, at the meeting following official visits to Venezuela and Brazil, demanded to intensify cooperation with countries in different regions of the world. Speaking about the success in development of relations with Venezuela, the head of state said that "there is a reasonable question, why we sleeping in a hat and didn't start to work with Venezuela before?".

«Why doesn’t Belarus come to other states of the region, where we are expected?», Belarusian leader ask himself a question, and added, that the conclusion is simple — «inadmissible passivity», BelTA informs.

«That’s why we have to turn around and orientate as quickly and efficiently as possible», Alexander Lukashenko said. «I warn you, that I will not tolerate any criticism on the quality of Belarusian products. It is a question of country’s prestige. All joint projects should be also implemented in time and with high quality».

However, the head of state pointed out that «Venezuela is not the whole Latin America» and we must go further, deeper into the continent, develop new and promising markets. According to Alexander Lukashenko, in particular, it concerns Brazil.

Lukashenko does not see any «reasonable proposals» on the development of Brazilian vector of foreign policy

President of Belarus noted the obvious faults in the establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation with Brazil. «Ensured the export with two or three highly liquid goods and calmed down. You can sell potassium and tires without going out the Minsk Ring Road», Alexander Lukashenko said.

According to the President, these faults are also confirmed, in the case, with no full-fledged representation in Brazil, and it is impossible to develop large-scale relations without that. «And where have been the Government and the Foreign Ministry for all these years? I do not see any s reasonable proposals for the development of Brazilian vector of foreign policy «, the president said.

«This is a paradox that we have an embassy in such relatively small country as Cuba and Argentina — with little bilateral turnover — and there is no diplomatic mission in Brazil», Alexander Lukashenko stressed.

Basing on the current situation, the Belarusian leader demanded seriously examine all possible areas of cooperation with Brazil, develop specific and effective approaches to implement these plans. «If we do not foothold in this market today, tomorrow, our competitors will kick us out, leave no stone unturned in our projects and there will be no prospects. You just have to roll up our sleeves and start working for real, as we started in Venezuela», Alexander Lukashenko said.

Lukashenko will personally control oil supply from Venezuela

At the meeting following official visits to Venezuela and Brazil, the Belarusian president also informed that he will personally control the implementation of agreements reached during the visit to Venezuela and Brazil. «I personally take under control all the positions on that we just talked, didn’t reach an agreement, but just talked in Venezuela, Brazil, and in Latin America in general «, Alexander Lukashenko said.

According to Belarusian leader, all agreements will not be just as empty phrases, and demands on its effective implementation will be taken to each separately. «I’ll ask everybody, how much equipment we will have sold for the year after the visit, how many joint ventures will have established», the President noted, adding that the preliminary results of this work will be announced in autumn of this year during the visit of Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez, to Belarus.

Taking in consideration the fact that Belarusian enterprises have not established their service in Venezuelan territory yet, Alexander Lukashenko also stressed that «if a tractor breaks down and they wait for six months, then Venezuelans will have no need in such co-operation with Belarus». «I insist on qualitative implementation of the agreements. You should take in mind that Belarus doesn’t work in Venezuela for free and get paid for it», the President stressed.
