Belarus State Telecommunications Inspection decided not collect payments from the web-sites owners when registering them. BelSTI announced it on its official web-site. Originally, it was planned that for sites registration will be necessary to pay 16.8 thousand rubles.

As explained in the inspection earlier, the introduction of fees for sites registration, that is not mentioned in the presidential Decree number 60 on the regulation of the Internet, is caused by the need to compensate «the costs of software, some labor costs and so on», tttt_tel informs.

«You pay only once — when registering. Then, every change is free of charge. Some part of the money will go to the budget, another part will stay in BelSTI. In the future, all the changes will be free of charge — and BelSTI will bear its own costs, without any compensation. That is, if consider it on the first phase, it would seem that the amount of money is unreasonable and rather big. But if you look through the whole period, the BelSTI will probably seek for some additional sources to cover these costs», the head of telecommunications department of the Ministry of Communications, Olga Fedoreeva, stated.
