President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, considers unacceptable "window dressing" in all sectors, particularly in public health care system. The head of state declared about that on September 6 during a visit to Ivatsevichi central district hospital. According to the President, nobody needs "window dressing", they need really effective work.

As a negative example, Alexander Lukashenko said that he saw from a helicopter, approaching to Ivatsevichi: when it rains, when fields are flooded, in some fields they apply organic fertilizers, in others — they load straw. «That way they want to show that they are working in such conditions», the president said.

Speaking of public health system, Alexander Lukashenko, cautioned doctors against such «showing off». According to the head of state, today in districts there created all necessary conditions for doctors: there built modern medical facilities, equipped with quality equipment, BelTA informs.

«I believe that for three years we have almost made a revolution in public healthcare. Now it’s time to ask, to demand an output from invested funds. Considerable funds were invested in public healthcare system», Alexander Lukashenko stressed.

Lukashenko instructed to complete the upgrading of hospitals in next two years

In the course of his visits to Ivatsevichi central district hospital, the head of state set a task to complete the program of re-equipment of medical institutions in Belarus in next two years.

«I have not come to see the hospital but to learn about the implementation of orders for its modernization and upgrading of entire system, starting from obstetric first-aid stations, medical outpatients’ clinics, local, district and regional hospitals and finishing with centers. Now, at Ivatsevichy example, we will examine the situation with district hospitals», the president said.

Moreover, Alexander Lukashenko stressed that Belarus would not build new hospitals, because there are enough in the country. In addition, the president believes that «we have to optimize public healthcare and leave unnecessary steps».
