CEC Chairman Lidia Yermoshina said at 24:00 at a press conference, following the voting at the presidential elections in Belarus on December 19 that 51% of the ballots had been handled. According to her, there's no information to support the president, as the CEC lost electricity during the demonstration and could not, therefore, get any information.

The CEC head explained that the CEC was located on the first floor of the Government House where protesters had smashed windows.

Lidia Yermoshina suggested that the first results of the election might be known by 03:00 on December 20. She added that Minsk had already counted 82% ballots, in Mahiliou voblast — 80%.
