Murder of Pensioners in Slonim Region is Detected

The investigative officers detected less than in a day the double murder of two pensioners, who were sisters and lived in a farm near the village Zabulle in Slonim region. The officers detained on suspicion of murder the 41-year-old inhabitant of Slonim, who had been already convicted, and his 19-year-old accomplice, the representatives of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Hrodna regional executive committee informed.

Malefactors committed the crime in the evening on April, 13th. «The corpses with numerous knife wounds of the 78-year-old mistress and her 75-year-old sister who had arrived from Minsk were found in the house. The women lived and managed their households alone», the police officers informed.

The investigators said, that there was a disorder in the house of the killed, the things were scattered in the rooms. «It testifies to lucrative impulse. The criminals must have searched for money and values. The investigation and search operations bore fruits and in some hours, the detectives possessed trustworthy information about the criminals».

Upon murder a criminal case under part 2. art.139 of Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus («Murder of two and more persons») was initiated. The circumstances and the motives of the crime are being found out. The basic police version is the occupancy of the victims’ money.
