Russia Lifts All Restrictions on Meat and Milk Supplies from Belarus

From August 3, 2010, Rosselkhoznadzor lifted all temporary restrictions on products' supply of a number of Belarusian enterprises to the Russian Federation. From this day, all 54 milk-processing enterprises in Belarus have a right to supply its products to Russia.

The decision was made on the basis of investigation of causes of banned and harmful substances existence in livestock products of Belarusian enterprises Babushkina Krynka, Osipovichi Dairy Plant, Bereza Cheese-Making Factory and Borisov Dairy Plant.

There were also taken into account the measures, taken by head department of veterinary of Agriculture Ministry of Belarus and guarantees to prevent the supply of livestock products of these companies, which do not satisfy Russian veterinary-sanitary requirements, to Russia, reported in the Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuffs of Belarus.
