Ukraine and Belarus have signed a medium-term contract for the transit of oil through  Odessa-Brody pipeline "in the amount of about 8 million tons per year. The document provides for Venezuelan oil transportation to the Mazyr Oil Refinery. Contract was signed between "Ukrtransnafta" and "Gomeltransneft Druzhba," a source in the Ukrainian government said on Monday, November 1.

The source explained that «the conclusion of the contract is due to a complete refusal of the Russian side to load the oil pipeline «Odessa-Brody» both at the moment and in the future.» «We’ve tortured an agreement for 6 months (with Russia on cooperation in oil transit to Ukrainian refineries), but Russia has never signed it,» the expert said, PRIME-TASS.

«Choosing between the pipeline construction and its loading, we have chosen the latter, and on favorable conditions for the state,» the source added. The specialist says that there has been no Russian oil pumping through Odessa-Brody oil pipeline from Brody in the direction of marine oil terminal «Pyvdenniy» for the last four months.
