Vitebsk Governor Promises to Get Rid of Homeless

March 17, at the press conference, Vitebsk governor ,Alexander Kosinets, promised to get rid the regional center of homeless people. Cleaning up Vitebsk's streets, the Governor intends to take care of urban "audience's" look using a special plan. 

Alexander Kosinets initially proposed to make some kind of a list, which will carefully count and record all people without fixed residence. «Then we’ll help them to get rid of all diseases and illnesses acquired during their wanderings. Those — who are terminally ill — will be given a place in specialized hostels. The rest, will be returned back to society», noted the Governor.

The Head of the region is also going to take care of the documents and workplaces. «First of all, the jobs will be given in rural areas. There also supposed to be empty houses for former homeless», stressed Alexander Kosinets, informs Dvina.by.

The Governor also noted that for those — who are used to earn on waste gathering and can not imagine their future life without it — they’ll provide a job of sorting garbage at the dump, and set cabins with basic facilities there.
