In Belarus, as of July 9, about 16 thousand Internet resources have already passed state registration. It was reported by the head of Information Technologies Department of Belarusian State Telecommunications Inspection (BelSTI), Andrei Silich. "BelSTI specialists have examined 23 thousand of applications, 16 thousand from them have passed the registration", the expert said.

Moreover, according to Andrei Silich, remaining 7.000 applications were rejected because of various reasons, in particular, because of «grammar mistakes as well as discrepancy of provided information to existing forms, when a field is filled with the information, which do not correspond to it», BelTA informs.

«Two thousand applications more are under examination at the moment», Andrei Silich said. BelSTI representative also noted that by July 9, there were considered 8.194 applications for registration of fiber-optic communication lines (FOCL), 6.510 applications of which were registered.

As Telegraf already reported, state registration of Internet resources is stipulated by the decree № 644 of the Council of Ministers from April 29, 2010 «On some issues to improve the use of national segment of global computer network Internet» and is implemented on application principle on the basis of an application for registration, submitted by Internet service provider.

Under the plan, the registration had to be completed by July 1, but it was prolonged. «The owners of Internet resources, who had no time to go through this procedure till July 1, have an opportunity to apply», Andrei Silich said.

Speaking of the deadline for Internet resources registration, BelSTI representative stressed that they would largely depend on the pace of hosting providers’ work.
